From Skreeech of the FMRC's Gulfcoast Travelers Chapter of Galveston, Texas

It's been a busy couple days down here on Galveston Island... The annual Lonestar Rally has been going on since Thursday and will wrap up tomorrow. The Lonestar Rally is the largest AMA sanctioned rally in the country.

Brother Melvin Green and I were able to secure a booth for the Shriners and FMRC to come out and do some volunteer work and collect donations for the Shrine Burn Hospital located on the island. We set up shop with both our Shrine and FMRC information and regalia about the booth. I am actually almost out of business cards as is Dennis!

We have meet alot of brothers out there who fell in love with out shield and I am sure will be joining our organization very soon. We were also able to spread the word about Masonry to the public and dispell some myths about the Craft. Best part... we gave out 10 petitions for the blue lodge, and 4 for the Shrine over the past couple days!

The inner workings of our booth! This display garnered a lot of attention!

Working the crowd!

L-R: Richard "BOOGER RED" Vantz, Melvin Green, Mike Given, and SKREEECH!
Ariel, one of the kids from the burn hospital, came out for a while to hang out!

Raising some more money!
While there, we met this fella!! He fed us all weekend. Why you ask... he was a Master Mason from Lebenon!! Him and his brother had food booths there.
Needless to say, we treated both brothers to Gulf Coast Travlers patches as well as FMRC pins and El Mina Potentate pins! They were really happy..
When is was all said and done.. we had raised over $3500.00 for the Shriners Burn Hospital in Galveston..
